A New Chapter for UC Santa Cruz Kresge College
UC Santa Cruz's Kresge College is undergoing a major transformation through a multi-phase design-build project aimed at expanding the capacity of this historic campus. The development introduces 14 new buildings dedicated to non-academic housing, study spaces, lounges, and terraced outdoor areas; all thoughtfully planned across seven phases to enhance both functionality and student experience.

Delivering High-Performance Systems
Pan-Pacific Mechanical is actively performing both plumbing and mechanical scopes for the project, supporting the infrastructure behind these new spaces. The systems are designed to deliver long-term performance, efficiency, and reliability across the development.

Focused on Sustainability and Efficiency
Sustainability is a key component of the project's design. Energy recovery ventilators are being installed to support efficient dorm ventilation, alongside electric baseboard heaters for consistent heating. Central CO2 heat pump water heaters will provide an environmentally conscious solution for hot water across the buildings, aligning with modern energy standards.
Progressing Through Phases
Construction continues to move forward steadily, with Phase 2 currently on track for completion in the coming months. As each phase progresses, the project brings UC Santa Cruz closer to a reimagined campus environment that blends thoughtful design with high-performance systems.
