Altos HQ consisted of a full mechanical design-build build-out across two two-story buildings, including rooftop systems. Pan-Pacific Mechanical's plumbing, sheet metal, and mechanical piping teams successfully delivered and commissioned both buildings within an accelerated 13-month schedule.

The project included the installation of major mechanical systems such as air handling units, exhaust fans, VRF heat pumps and condensing units, heating hot water (HHW) skids with boilers and pumps, laboratory vacuum skids, and laboratory compressed air systems.

The fast-paced nature of the project, coupled with ongoing design changes during coordination, was made possible through Pan-Pacific Mechanical's design-build approach and in-house engineering capabilities. This allowed real-time design adjustments to be efficiently communicated to field teams, ensuring seamless execution and continuity throughout construction.

Pan-Pacific Mechanical and Air Systems (Controls) worked closely with the project's ownership team to ensure the final building turnover aligned with end-user preferences while meeting or exceeding the engineering basis of design requirements.

Additionally, one of the buildings includes a 13,000-square-foot vivarium, requiring highly controlled humidity and pressurization systems to support specialized research environments.
