Graton Resort & Casino Phase IV adds 144,000 square feet to the existing facility, further enhancing its position as a premier entertainment destination. The expansion includes a newly constructed pedestrian bridge connecting the casino to a recently completed parking structure, as well as significant upgrades throughout the property. New amenities feature multiple bars, commercial kitchens, restrooms, multi-purpose ballrooms and dining spaces, and an expanded casino floor.
As a key partner on the project, Pan-Pacific Mechanical (PPM) was entrusted with delivering the plumbing, mechanical piping (HVAC wet), and sheet metal (HVAC dry) scopes of work. Our team played a critical role in installing and integrating essential plumbing systems, including domestic hot and cold water, tempered water, natural gas, storm drain, waste and vent, and a fully engineered grease waste system. To enhance performance and prevent grease buildup, the system was equipped with heat tracing—demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to long-term reliability.
The HVAC wet scope included chilled water and heating hot water piping serving multiple new rooftop air handling units, while the HVAC dry scope encompassed ductwork installation for all conditioned spaces. This included coordination with a highly customized architectural ceiling design utilizing linear slot diffusers to maintain both performance and aesthetic intent.
PPM's scope also extended to the newly constructed Central Utility Plant (CUP), which supports the expanded facility's operations. Work within the CUP included the installation of two 750-ton chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and heat exchangers—forming the backbone of the casino's mechanical systems. Connecting the CUP to the main facility required over half a mile of fully welded 6-inch to 14-inch carbon steel piping, installed with precision to meet the project's heating and cooling demands.
