North Hawaii Community Hospital ER Expansion
Waimea, HI
North Hawaii Community Hospital has undergone a twophase renovation. Phase 1 included improvements to the current ER with the addition of a new state-of-the-art, 13,000-square-foot facility to replace the previous six-bed ER. The new ER features 13 private patient rooms — 11 standard and two trauma rooms — as well as decentralized nurses’ stations, new ambulance and patient entrances and a new waiting room.
Phase two consisted of converting the hospital’s previous ER into administrative offices.
Pan-Pacific Mechanical was responsible for the plumbing, medical gas, HVAC & fire protection scope on this project including domestic plumbing systems such as domestic hot & cold, sanitary waste & vent, storm drain, irrigation, gas and all related equipment.
