Tenaya Therapeutics is a biotechnology company focused on advancing heart disease treatment through gene therapy, cellular regeneration, and precision medicine.
Since spring 2021, Pan-Pacific Mechanical has been actively supporting operations at Tenaya's Union City facility, delivering the plumbing, HVAC wet and dry, mechanical, and process piping scopes. Our team has contributed to the development of highly specialized infrastructure to support advanced laboratory environments.
A key innovation on this project was the design and installation of a custom support rack system constructed from painted blue steel piping. This internally developed system supports multi-trade utility distribution to owner-furnished "PODs," or prefabricated functional lab spaces.
These systems were specifically engineered to deliver conditioned air and lab gases while safely removing and neutralizing laboratory waste from the PODs—ensuring reliable performance in a highly controlled research setting.
